Being Maddie's mother is never boring. Here she is hamming it up for her dad in my clothes. I wish I could say I was flattered that she was dressing up as me, but it was really more of a "look how I funny I look in Mommy's huge clothes" dress up session. Those are capris, which is why they are so short-my ginormous bottom is the reason they are so wide. Josh took the pictures for posterity-just wait until I get Maddie AND Andrew in HIS pants!!
OK, onto the name game--some recent conversations with Mads.
The first day of gym class.
Maddie, very excited: Mom, my gym teacher's name is Mr. Coyote!
The second day of gym class.
Maddie, utterly disappointed: Mom, my gym teacher's name is really Mr. Caoni.
(think Italian and pronounce it Ky-OH-nee, you can see how she got confused.)
The next Maddie name confusion story is dedicated to my brother, Tim---
Madeline (which is what she insists they call her at school) has two Timmys in her class. Apparently they are friends, because Maddie always refers to them as one--"the Timmys."
After a few days of school, Maddie comes home and proceeds to tell me the following with great glee:
Mom, Mrs. Cutler keeps mixing up our names. Guess what she calls the Timmys?
insert my "What?" in here
Timothy. giggle, giggle, giggle
insertion by me:"Maddie, Timothy is the same name as Timmy."
Maaaahhh-om, Timothy is NOT the same. Timmy is a boy's name and Timothy sounds like a girl's name!! giggle, giggle, giggle
"Timothy is Uncle Tim's full name."
It is? giggle, giggle, giggle.
Oh, well. She'll figure out I'm right......eventually.
